Hi.

New guy here who can't figure out why he's JUST found your site!! Awesome.

Well, we had a fire in our shop (40x60) that took it to the ground and even with insurance, we had to kick in more than 1/2 the rebuild cost ........ which didn't allow for new concrete work (original cost $10K). So I have a floor with some good pock marks (say 1 to 3 inches across and perhaps 3/4 to 1 inch deep) as well as portions that have what I consider spalling from overheating of the concrete (looks like a shattered auto windshield pattern). So far I'm working with what I've got but it is hell moving stuff on casters on that floor ....... what is the logical course of repair here? I was thinking patch the pock marks, grind the whole floor and then epoxy seal?

Thanks for your input ..... again --- great site!!

get yourself some ardex patch and spread it into the spals and cracks, then take a diamond cup wheel and grind down the high spots from when you spread the ardex on, and then go to town with whatever flooring option you want, epoxy / pollishing / tile ect.
