So I found a Kennedy box on marketplace and bought it as I have had trouble finding riser boxes at a decent price (and boy was this a decent price).
I thought the handles may have been replaced as I do not remember seeing and Kennedy boxes with handles such as these. In all of my digging, I don't remember seeing a riser box such as this either. Apparently it was $17 at some point.

Mine have different handles, but I have the bottom, middle and top kennedy's with the rounded corners like that. The middle is only 2 drawer though. My handles are the stamped chrome metal type.

Great find!

I have a similar base with rounded corners. Two drawers, and there are two pulls on each drawer, but the pulls are tiny little brown plastic pulls.

Cool I have mid 1988 Kennedy mechanic tool chest, riser and rolling 4 drawer tool cabinet with the big door on the front of the bottom of the box and it is my primary tool box,it's powder coated orange not brown or the common red.?!
Love this tool box had it since 1999 and even though I keep saying I'll buy a 26 us general series 2 8 drawer top tool chest and add to my tool storage this box is the reason I haven't.

My old boss had a red/orange (hard to say which it really was) colored wrinkle finish one at the old shop. Bigger than your standard Kennedy box, it was an odd size. His bottom had drawers all the way down. Got sold when we moved to the new shop.

NIce heavy duty unit.

Exactly,I kinda doubt us general atleast the first series were built as good as that box,I've considered putting a cabinet with drawers and the locker on the other side I really want a Kennedy end cabinet with drawers and I have looked at the us general series 2 offerings for the cabinet and the end locker I almost bought the cabinet but I can't convince myself to modify my box just to mount a us general tool cabinet with drawers to it, which I want for chisels and punches a fuel injection pressure tester kit and a actron sunpro compression guage, air tools and the brake tools needed when messing with newer gm cars and Honda, and Mazda cars, and trucks with drum brakes on the back.. I may still convince myself to eventually get the 26 inch top and bottom tool chest and rolling cabinet set in green and add it beside my box but after I had a buddy of mine wanted to trade me a older double Bay red us general and I kept having problems with the big drawers at the top not the bottom mind you his was dented but fairly new he wanted $700 and my top and bottom and riser for his box I'm like from the beginning I don't see that happening but before I tell you no I guess I can look at it... and I am sure I could have either figured out how to fix the drawers or got the parts even if they didn't come from harbor freight and fixed it but it is not worth trading for in my opinion now that guy still a buddy of mine has a like 46 inch husky top box and it sits on their workbench although majorly reenforced I'm sure, but it sure catches your attention regardless and he has a like 26 inch top 3 drawer husky tool box and I think a big 4 drawer rolling tool cabinet I'm glad it works for him but I wouldn't be impressed by that either compared to this Kennedy I don't think, although his 46 inch husky is a very nice decent built box..

Looks like the standard old school Kennedy red to me...
