Another Sub panel question

I've been doing alot of research and I just wanted to make sure I've got this right. I am installing a subpanel in a detached garage. Out here in the country, no need to worry abt. inspections...(I actually called inspector and left 4 msgs for return call....never got one). I just want to make sure it is done right.

I have a 200a Square D homeline loadcenter in garage. Got a good $$ on it, $10 new with a bunch of breakers. It is a load center, so it doesn't have a main breaker. I am planning on putting a 60a disconnect in garage before sub panel.

Here is my plan starting at the house: 60A double in main box at house. 2-2-2-4 wire from house to garage. Bigger wire, just in case I ever decide I want more than 60A in garage. 60A disconnect. Wire to Load center from Disconnect. Grounded back at main panel in house. Also Ground wire from Sub panel to 2 ground rods 8' deep. Question...What size wire for ground rods? I've never used a disconnect before, Do I ground the sub panel to ground rods or disconnect?

Anything I'm missing? I'm using Direct Burial 2-2-2-4, I know it must be in conduit or buried, or both, Not a problem. I considered using SER 2-2-2-4 through basement to a large junction box, splicing to the Direct Burial and saving myself the conduit, but seems like more hassel than its worth.

Garage is 15' detached, and 50' from main box.

Anything I'm missing??

Ground needs to be a #8. Personally I'd use #6 if the run is short as it is heavier and more durable.

If you are going to buy a 60 amp DP breaker, why not just go ahead and buy a 90 amp? Its somewhat more expensive, but you will already have it that way. You disconnect will have to be at least 90 amp rated too if you do that. I'm guessing you want to use a big red handled throw switch for the disconnect.
