I needed a certain size top bearing flush router bit and found it for dirt cheap at a site I never heard of before and ended up with a few items for less than $20.

Their shipping was fairly high at almost $14 for FedEx but for less than $34 I feel like I still got a good deal and wanted to pass it on (I have no affiliation). Just saw that the site says there is a $50 minimum order but they had no problem processing mine.

https://hartmannvariety.com/

Their website has been up for over 10 years and I'm shocked I have never stumbled upon it and thought I would pass it on.

I am always looking for a good deal so I took a look. Personally I will pass:

  • $50 minimum order
  • "We are in the surplus, buyback and closeout business. With this in mind, we do not offer any warranty on any product. If an issue happens to arise with a product, we do not replace or provide refunds"
  • "We do not accept returns unless we represent the item wrong on our site, or send the wrong product"

Well I guess I will test their customer care, I just noticed the knockout on my circular saw blade is removed......my saw has a round arbor. I'll update when I get a response.

Website looks very similar to Cripe. In fact it lists the same web design outfit, OCDesign. Wonder what else they have in common.

Yes, very Cripe like.

Some good deals in there for sure. Blades, bits, and abrasives seem to be excellent choices and values.

Couple examples:
Freud DS0612BW5 6-Inch Demo Demon Diablo Reciprocating Blade, 5-Piece
$4.76

LENOX Gold 156G - 12" 6TPI Titanium Edge Wood Cutting Reciprocating Blade - 5 Pack
$9.85

And after many days..........CRICKETS!

I would forward them a link to your thread. Not a good example of their customer service when you tried to help their business by posting their information here.

The Hartmann Brothers who won Hartmann Varitey are good people. I’m sure they either missed the message or will be getting back to you. If you want I’m
Happy to text Paul and give you an answer if needed. We are a small community of tool liquidators and we take pride in what we do. It’s easy to bash someone on here... give the guys a chance. Good people.

I just resent my message using their fill-in form on their website instead of an email so let's see. I work in West Bloomfield, do you have a brick & mortar store?

I did get a great response today and a refund for the missing arbor. He even gave me a second refund for a large portion of the shipping that I don't think her was really responsible for. I'm satisfied with the service and the prices for the items I bought. I basically got several impact masonry bits for free and still saved on the router bit compared to the next cheapest price. Again, I didn't even know about the $50 minimum and they accepted my smaller order.

Good. I spoke to Paul this morning and he said the only message he saw was from yesterday. I’m happy it worked out for you. Good stuff.

I was able to put together a fairly complete router bit starter set, something I actually needed, they have a bunch of Bosch and Makita bits at 60-70% off retail. beats buying a chinesium set

That's what I'd look at them for, if you need a bunch of middle quality cutting consumables because you're just starting or you go through a lot

I placed an order with Hartman Variety on 9-13 for multiple (6) step drills and a few switches.
All were received in less than a week. Goods=$64.17 + S&H=$7.95
I bought Makita (Swiss made), Bosch (Swiss made) and MK Morse (USA made) step drills and I don't know where else to get quality HHS step drills at those prices. Thanks to the OP for posting.

There was one issue in that I ordered 2ea of a toggle switch based on the picture (DPDT). The only description offered was the IDEAL brand PN 774093 but I didn't research it to verify the switch configuration (I relied on the picture). What I received is 774093 but they are SPST (not DPDT). For ˂$7 total I'll just keep the SPSTs.
