Another tapatalk problem on android.

Tapatalk App Problem on Android

Is anyone else having trouble logging into garage journal forum through the tapatalk app on android? I used to be able to but cant now for some reason. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Have no problems on my apple device.

Any thoughts?

Well, I'm now having a problem with tapatalk and my android phone. I can load the garage journal forum in tapatalk, I can see the title of each thread and the first sentence or so in the preview pane, but when I click the link it does not show any of the conversation. It will indicate on what page I'm at but nothing else.

I'm using a first gen Moto-G. I have cleared the cache to no effect. I have deleted and re-installed the app, no effect. I have no problems connecting with the Ranger Station using tapatalk which leads me to believe it's a problem on the Garage Journal side of things.

Same issue here, keep this updated if you find a fix
edit version 4.4.0 no idea what build(or where to find out)

There has been no further response from Tapatalk. I looked at their newest iteration and it wants to know my device location. I like my privacy and see no need for them to know where I'm at. Soooo, I will suffer without the newest Tapatalk and hope they change the location policy. If someone else has this same problem and an update to the newest version fixes your problem, please update this thread so we know where the problem lies.

I am having the same problem. I used to be able to view this forum fine but now it is an issue. None of the other forums I view in Tapatalk have this issue. I have been running an older version of Tapatalk for a few years now so it isn't a change with the Tapatalk app or my phone.

Something is going on with GJ code.

I was posting in another thread about this issue and was directed to this one. I am having the same problem but on a much older version of Tapatalk (2.4.13) and this is the only forum I am having this problem with.

If it is only a select few tapatalk users having this issue here, I think we can partially eliminate the forum code.

Since we are running different versions of TT, I think we can eliminate that as an issue too.

What about our GJ user accounts? I am thinking about creating a ghost account on GJ to see if that changes anything. Will report back...

Okay so I ended up just logging out instead of creating a false account. No change even as a guest.

Cleared all cache and data for app and still no change. I am now 100% convinced it is not our phones.

What does TT say?

Well I tested the latest version of tapatalk, which I absolutely hate, and the thread bodies on GJ do show up. Now I am starting to wonder if the new versions of the TT code forums are installing are forcing folks to upgrade the app?

Will post this to the TT forum too. Not that I expect to get a response.

Mods, can you tell me what version of the TT code you are running?

I would expect the other forums that Ryan owns [ if having the same version of the Tapatalk] to have the same problems if Tapatalk was trying to force an upgrade. The HAMB doesn't for me. But I don't know much about coding so.....

As it stands, we have the latest version of TT installed... The real problem is TT support absolutely *****.
