So for months now I was set on getting the HF 44" toolbox combo, in blue😁. So my refund came in and Im planning on Monday going to HF. Well lo and behold last night I find another contender. The Craftsman 2000 series boxes. 52" wide, 18" deep, 18 and 20 gauge construction, made in Missouri, red and black look great. Anybody have any of theses Craftsman boxes yet? Reviews? I like the extra space and storage but don't love the drawer layout. Also even though the CFT is wider, each box is lighter weight than the hf🤔. That could be due to the fact the hf is 22 deep as opposed to 18". Oh also no drawerliners on the cft, but it does have soft shut drawers. Almost identical pricing (without hf coupons). Looking for opinions and thoughts, thanks.

I like that the new Craftsman are USA made. That said I think the HF are more solid and have a much better drawer layout. Those deep bottom drawers on the Craftsman are a lot of wasted space unless you have large items or cases to put in there.

If it’s the 52” that I’m thinking it is, it’s just two 26” cabinets side by side in one box. Not even one full width drawer would drive me nuts!

Having looked at the new craftsman boxes at lowes I am not impressed. my 20+ year old 40'' inch craftsman is way sturdier IMO. If I was buying a new box I would go HF for sure. especially if I had some HF refund money.

I have the HF 44" in Blue and would take if over the craftsman box any day after looking at them in Lowe's.

So I also have the same basic dilema between the 56" HF combo and the new Milwaukee "56 high capacity" combo. The prices and overall sizes are identical yet the Milwaukee is claiming almost 10k more cubic in?? How can this be? Milwaukee one is suppposedly made from 18 gauge steel, frame and drawers. I like some of the features on the Milwaukee. The HF does have over 1000lbs in total weight capacity more than the MK. Unfortunately my local HD doesn't carry in stock. This will be for my work.

Could be marketing Mumbo Jumbo. 56” measures the same on all boxes unless the trim is factored in. Most of them do. For me it comes down to drawer layout that fits you needs.
