As with many newbies out here, I've been lurking for a while now and just decided to post the other day. Figured I should get the formalities out of the way and add myself in the "new guy" area. I'm from rural Saratoga and find myself on GJ at least once a day during the week. Otherwise I'm out working to finish my garage. It only takes time and money... I posted in the garage galleries already but here's the link again to my build pics:

welcome to GJ. thats southern tier. im about 10 miles north of syracuse

You live in a prime area for lake effect snow, especially when the jet stream comes howling out of Canada. We get some snow here (except for this past year) but that area can get hammered. I don't envy you if Mother Nature returns from her vacation this coming winter... Thanks for welcoming me.

Hey Big - Are you in the Sidney area? I haven't been through there in a while but am a bit familiar with I-88 from passing through Oneonta and Binghamton on my way to Scranton years ago.

Yup.
88 hasn't gotten much better since you last travelled on it...... I think we've got some dirt roads that are smoother.

Is 88 still 55MPH most of the way? Yeah, the dirt/back roads were better and faster on occasion.

65 these days... although, might be some stretch'es as you near the Albany area that are 55, not sure.
Funny, I had to really think about that. I drive the same stretch everyday, just set the cruise and go.
