I was trying out different ways of fastening a little crate together, without a conglomeration of clamps. The fasteners can be clamps themselves, if I can manage to get them in there alone. So I thought of using a little nail pusher, instead of a hammer, to more easily hold the pieces by hand without knocking them around at all. For that I tried a bit from my set of tamper resistant torx in a hex driver. These are pretty useful for the task. I can pick the best size for the nail head to slip into, and push a small one straight through wood, to the point of how deep the bit is (which keeps it stable enough when being pressed on). Then a round punch can be used to push it the rest of the way in, or a hammer if necessary (with the pieces braced against something else at that point). I know there are nail guns, but I actually did see a little nail pusher in a store the other day, these bits just allow for more sizes to fit inside of such a thing. Small nails are basically like push tacks, as long as you can push their smaller heads with something.
