I did one bay of my garage with VCT, and have to say that so far (about a week) I'm really pleased. I wish I had a buffer to get the floor really shiny, but I don't have any unrealistic expectations about it staying that way, so no big deal. It was pretty easy to do, although I do recommend knee pads, and my trowel was worn out after about 300sf. And DEFINITLY get the $30 tile cutter. If I would have had to use a box cutter for everything I think I would have shot myself.... It paid for itself many times over.

Wife doesn't want me to do all the bays (4) and I'll be doing a lot of work in one of them, so this might be all I do, but for less than a buck a square foot, including everything except labor, I don't think this can be beat.
