This landed in my driveway without a manufacturing plate on it. Ive been tripping over it for a few weeks.

Frame Width 7-5/16
Block Width 6-3/4
Frame length 27
Front wheels 3.75
Rear wheels 2.25
Markings: 2602 stamped on block. WS14 3V on wheels. W 1 on undercarriage
From the early 40s? Make? Model? Parts available? So many questions. The Upward lift action does not work. Downward OK. I think it is missing a small link or piece that connects the handle to the pump?
Please pass on knowledge.
Thanks

I think it's a made in U.S.A. Hein Werner. Generally Hein Werner jacks had the lifting capacity cast on the top of the lifting arm, but everything else lines up. Note the proprietary nut on the tank.

Parts are readily available. Any hydraulic supply house will have what you need. Getting the tank nut off will present some... ahh... problems. H-W made such a weird tank nut!

I welded up a nut-remover from a large socket. I chucked it into my Milwaukee impact wrench and it did the job on the tank nut.

Yes on Hein Werner, WS or O'Boy, possibly.

When you turn the knob on top of the handle, does the "gear" at the bottom of the handle turn? If so, everything is probably there, that should be there. There are some good rebuild threads on these scattered around the forum. For parts, check member Hiball's signature.

Here's a drawing for a WS: https://www.hcrcnow.com/uploads/drawings/heinwerner_ws_floor_jack_1.5_ton.pdf

Thanks all the gears turn and the lowering action works once lift the arm up is held by hand. No pump up action.
No weight rating cast into the lift arm.
Funny it looks identical to the ones that do have a weight rating.
No cross bar on the handle either

oh, that top nut looks fun

Considering a shop service if I dont have time . Anyone hear of a decent shop in or near Deetroit, Toledo, Flint?

Looks like my pump piston may be stuck down?

The handle does not contact it, and i have no lift action. That is why i was initially thinking a link from the handle to the pump piston was missing.

Remove the c-clip from the top of the pump and inspect the pump innards - could be a broken spring, pump cup shredded and jamming in the bore, etc..

Excuse me for hijacking this thread but I have one of these I purchased a couple of years ago and last week I was using it and it stopped pumping up and I think there was some hydraulic oil around it but I'm not sure of the source. I topped off the hydraulic fluid and it still will not pump up. Any suggestions on what I should try? There doesn't seem to be a way of bleeding air out of it.

You can bleed it by opening the release and pumping it 10 times - but it could be time for a rebuild.

Any idea where I can get a part No. 23625? Its that star-shaped release gear at the bottom of the rod that runs through the handle. One of the fingers are broken off of it.
I might be able to get someone to weld a finger back onto it if all else fails.

Update piston pump c-clip and spring removed looks OK but stuck down. Thanks Roberts210 for steering me to a company that ultimately sent me to the floor jack rebuilder in Detroit. i think it will work out fine
