Thanks. I would of never went that route. Now to clean it up for the wife. She has a tool now.

Before you clean it up for the wife, look around..... It maybe worth a small fortune to the right party. Using steel wool or anything to clean it up MAY take away value? I really don't know what I am talking about, and surely would never have guessed it was a Cavatelli Maker.

Looks like original was black with some gold pinstriping might be a fun restoration project. Ebay ask prices don't me it will sell for that much and the one in auction looks in fair condition but much better than OPs.

I remember back in the 1970s we had a fresh Italian family move next door that could not speak English. As I got to no them one day as a 12 year old helping them take my two fingers and mash and roll the dough into the knoccie for hours. So now I no.
