Another "What are these in this kit???"

I found these in my toolbox but have NO CLUE what this kit is for or when the heck did these find there way in my toolbox????

They are American Standard sizes and say Rigid on the nuts and front cover of the kit...

The shafts through the nuts are "keyed" and do not screw with threads...the double nut slides freely on the keyed shaft.


So, what are they used for??? I am totally stumped?

Bolt extractor, drill the proper size hole, tap splined shaft into hole and use nut to spin it out. Work good if fastener isn't too stuck. They don't expand the bolt like the tapered extractors do.

Those are my preferred bolt extractors. You can get them from Snap On/Bluepoint but they’re made by Rigid. They work great.

Those kind are much preferred over the spiral type. Those tend to expand the fastener and make it even more difficult to remove. Good score!
