I am surprised at all the issues with the LX, it is the old B2650 that was a step up from the tractor that I got. I believe the belly mower on that is a ground contact, whereas mine is suspended, so it rides on the wheels which set height rather than mine that is adjusted hydraulically.

The pedal takes some getting used to, but mine never exhibited any type of jumpiness, same with the loader control. I also like the fact that you can split the functions, so raise/dump or drop/curl or vise versa at the same time. I believe the loader valve on the JD's is one way only.

Hope it works out for you and they get the issues sorted!
They called and said they're bringing it back. We have doubts about it really being fixed.

.if it is not fixed, they will take it back

Just bought a new holland workmaster 25, I have to say I spent 2 hours with the salesman, he really wanted to make sure I got the right one. He has had a few customers complain of other dealers selling them the wrong one. I did quite a bit of research first so I already new what I needed & had a similar machine years ago. I think one of the biggest problems is lack of operating experience, most buyers just don't understand how to properly operate a machine. Not saying the OP is one of them but lots of home owners buy these with no experience & complain the machine is no good. What I really liked is this dealer offered me a demo before buying, even offered to let me keep it a day to really try it out, just happened they had a used one. I declined but it's nice to rent or demo one before buying.

I've been running equipment for 50 years.

There are now brackets to hold the mower deck when not in use that do not work and need modifications.
Should I do that on a brand new tractor?

The work light kit is not installed.

The deck was rubbing on the back wheel when lifted.

The little bracket that allows the deck to be lifted by the 3 point was bent.

I have serious doubts that things will be right when it gets back here.

I agree, you bought a new machine, it should have everything working correctly, i would document everything wrong in writing. Stay on them till fixed correctly, it ***** to have to lose time and be aggravated over what should be a fun and exciting purchase, good luck.

I have serious doubts that things will be right when it gets back here.

The biggest issue I have seen over the past several years is the option bought with the tractor are added on the tractor by the lowest paid guys in the back shop of the dealership. I seen this several times from my expensive true garden tractor a John Deere X-590 with a 54" deck. Nothing was done in per delivery but to check the oil and gas it up. The tires were over inflated, The deck was way out of adjustment, the serviceable transaxle was low on fluid and nothing was done by the pre delivery checklist. I seen this before as the deck on my 2305 was obviously slapped on and adjusted way to low when I bought it in 2009.

The sad thing is I just got to the point of checking everything in the pre delivery checklist when I buy new equipment and take pictures and then fix it myself. After I have completed the pre delivery checklist in my home shop I take all the pictures down and have a nice talk with the dealer and show and tell time come with the pictures. On my X-590 I got $100.00 off on the price and a service kit for the first service.

Do I make waves well no I have the talk quietly and start with the salesman then it always ends up with the manager. I just do not and have never gone in with guns a blazing but just talk quietly as much as possible for a old fart.

Right now, I don't have the ability or time. I have been trying to get a right lower control arm and front brakes on my granddaughters car for a week. Should be a 4 hour job - tops.
It didn't help that all of my air impacts quit working. The old 110volt electric impacts didn't have enough torque.
I am having a lot of up and down trouble. Took me at least a half hour just to get in bed night before last

Poor Kubota design puts the deck too close to the rear tires.

Not my fault. Kubota should redesign and fix the problem if they are going to sell that deck for that tractor.

The lift arms need to be about 1" to 2" shorter or mounting brackets need to. Be a little different.

I can see it would not be a terrible fix But I should not have to do it.

If they're going to sell that configuration, then it should work the way they are selling it.

#2. I am not physically capable right now.

I forgot too mention, they called and said the machine was ready for delivery again.

My wife asked about the hanger brackets to hold the deck up when you don't want it to go down with the 3 point - not addressed.

The dealership should not have to deal with that either. Another Kubota design fail involving using that deck on that tractor. But also could be rectified

The dealership called in the middle of posting. They agreed it's a well known design issue and recommended I contact Kubota to complain. As well as urge as many others to do the same.

They said the issue has been reported by Shop mechanics many times, but until customers complain enough, nothing will be done.

It's a pretty easy fix. But for warranty and cost issues nobody wants to make the adjustments.

The big. Issue is the deck being to close to the back tires. Only about 1/4" clearance. Not near enough for muddy tires. Which can happen when using the loader.

Given my present physical condition, removing the deck every time I want to drive around without having the deck clearance be an issue is not a good option.

I’ve learned having the deck on while using the loader is not good. It hangs down and collects stuff that you don’t want. One item for loader work is a three point weight box. That 800 pounds makes a major difference in stability. I have the bx2680 and use it through out the property.

The deck is supposed to have spots underneath to install pins to keep it up with the 3 point down.
I realize that it is still far better to remove the deck for loader use.

I also know that in my present physical condition I will not be removing the deck very often. If at all.

This is not our main loader - it is right now, but hopefully the 1975 Ford Backhoe will be fixed soon. Going out to see if it will start soon. Have a guy nearby that is willing to work on it
