Another what is it post

What are these? I found them while cleaning out my uncle's house. He didn't use any tools. He may have found them in a dumpster or brought them back from overseas. The sizes of the balls range from 1-1/4" to 1/8" (the smallest one in the photo is 1/4", I missed 1/8" one).

I forget their name but they are used in mold making to round inside corners . molds for pouring cast iron etc
