Another 'What is it Thread'

This has been rolling around in my tool box for a couple of years waiting for that Ah Ha moment to hit me about what it is. My mind keeps coming up blank. I don't even remember any more where it even came from but probably in a box of garage sale stuff I picked up.
Anyway here are some pics for you to try to identify.

Looks like a turning (lathe) project from school. Outside of that ?????

In the one end that has what looks to be 2 holes, the larger offset hole is threaded and the center has a pressed in piece that is a sharp point on the inside. It didn't show too well in the last pic.

Looks like one of those Nitrous Oxide whipping cream chargers, you take the small charger vessel. Charged with Nitrous, and you inhale it. Laughing gas like at the dentist. If it has something inside to puncture the pressure vessel when its tighten together, I'd say that's what it is. Puncture, loosen up and inhale the Nitrous oxide. Short little high.

Had a buddy in high school that was into those things.

Edit: looking at it again, I'm not sure, but it looks a lot like what I remember.

heh.. yep, that's what the kids would call a cracker. mmfh hit it on the head.

edit: I don't think you're going to find much practical use unless you suddenly get into huffing nitrous.

its a "cracker" when used properly it makes you stupid for a minute, when used incorrectly it makes you dead, i have one around here somewhere haven't used it for 20 years.

Looks to be a pipe for smoking tobacco...or marijuana. There is a place to thread a bowl on and a second hole for the "carb" release carb when taking a pull on the pipe to rush air in. This is just a guess.

Every generation has it's "tools" used to escape or enhance reality.
This is one of 'em, but way after my time.
We had bongs, blotter acid and 'shrooms.

Today's kids are drinking hand sanitizer just to get a high. I think each generation pushes the envelope a little farther than the last, risking more and losing more in the process.
