Another "what is it?" thread!

Picked up this right angle drive with a few other bits yesterday. Only marking on it is the Craftsman sticker. It's heavy and feels well made. Do any of you know more about it? What is the intended use?

Looks like a die grinder... I'm sure it doesn't work... you should send it to me and I will dispose of it properly...

What's more interesting to me is the giant home-made flat screwdriver socket

Yeah, the socket was obviously used, there are marks on the "blade". It is unfortunately cracked, but I'll keep it around just in case I run into any huge screws.

I don't think the right angle is a die grinder, it is threaded on both ends, not an air fitting.

Looks like it's to turn a reg drill into a right angle drill. Unscrew the chuck, thread that on, thread the chuck onto your adapter, and you're good to go.

454Ragtop is correct, it is a right angle drill adapter. Mid to late 60's vintage.

That's neat. Sure fooled me... I'll still dispose of it properly...
