Any ideas on what this is? It was owned my Wichita State University at some point. The vertical pin slides freely up and down (not threaded) and the lower portion slides in and out. It has what appears to be a reamer or cutting tips and a 3/8" drive on the top of the pin. The back side has some sort of magnetic function. It may not be complete or out of a larger piece? I'm guessing it came out of some sort of lab? I got it on an auction with some other shop tools, so it seems a bit out of place.

Possibly a sample cutter, or sample holder cutter. What size disk does it cut?

I’d guess the magnetic part is to hold a spare whatever.
