Took about ten seconds to google " buckingham mfg co 6203" and find that it's a thread restorer for cylinder studs, u bolts, wheel lugs, etc.

My dad had one of those from the 60's. Still works. It should be in everyone's toolbox that deals with threaded studs and rods. Simple to restore threads without having to put a die on it or file it down.

And it works on english or metric, right or left hand threads!

The cutter looks just like a thread file... That is very similar to our NES thread tools. Its quite amazing that they really just keep reinventing and improving the wheel per say....

I have these in 4 dif sizes which covers just about every external thread size up to 6" dia and all based on the same principal... as your vintage tool

Would have never have guessed that's a ny company. If you open the instructions, look at the parts breakdown. They've got their money's worth out of that one. Guessing that was last updated in the 50's
