I am pretty sure the second one is a bearing puller but that first one really has me stumped. I think it is some kind of puller, maybe missing some parts?

They are flat. I have only seen the ones that go into the spark plug hole before. Thanks for the info.
I see it is for when the head is off. Wouldn't it be much easier to just use a dial indicator?

Yeah a dial indicator would be good for that as that is what I use. I've also seen some head cc,ing tools that used a point setup like that. For setup you run the point down till it touches the quench deck and then center it over the chamber fill with whatever fluid you are using till it touches the point.
