Anybody know what it is or what its for?

Thank You.

It does kinda look like one, but its extremely heavy duty compared to the one you linked or the others I found with a quick search.

The handle/push part is either cast iron or low quality steel and is solid, The guide part looks to be either stainless or a high quality steel.

Its one of those things you hold and say to yourself, 'wow, that's pretty heavy'

I guess its not impossible that its some kind of super heavy industrial bait punch, but really doesn't seem like it is.

The toolbox I found it in had quite a lot of transmission specialty tools, fair amount of general tools and some odd ball stuff.

I work at a trans shop and nobody recognizes it.

It seems like it is a driver/installer of some kind, though the handle/driver has never been hit with a hammer from the looks of it.

Don't really see how it could be used as a clutch alignment tool.

Seal installer of some sort is what we are guessing also.

Although it doesn't look much like any of the seal installers we have, they are mainly plastic, or simple metal drivers, or even the bushing driver type.

Perhaps you would work the thin part past a seal and then push something in past it with the handle/plunger thing?

Maybe puts an o-ring on the inside of something? I think that's my best guess so far.
