Okay guys, I put some new pics in my first post. The only thing that was mentioned that makes sense is a timing belt or some kind of pully, but it doesn't ratchet, wouldn't a set-up like that need to ratchet?

Just trying to understand how the swivel works. Does the drive move independently of the breaker bar or independently of the swivel?

The head and the swivel move together, it's like one piece. The head will not move unless the swivel does also.

The swivel part has them 2 round ears on it, I wonder if there is another part to this, that connects to them round ears.

I'm really surprised that no one knows what it is yet. It must be something used on heavy equipment.

I have something that is similar, a tool to undo harmonic balancer bolts.
But mine has the 1/2" drive socket holder at the end on the small arm.
Does the 1/2" socket connector move with the long arm/handle or the short arm?

The swivel/ arm, part moves with the 1/2'' socket holder, or the socket.

Is the harmonic puller different?

So the breaker bar has to hit the swivel before it will apply torque, I don't understand this tool..lol

I have no idea... That's why I'm asking.

I'm sorry I can't explain things better, but I'm under a lot Stress. And that's no excuse, I probably couldn't do any better if I wasn't...

Interesting. It certainly appears to be a manual impact wrench, as gazza mentioned, but I've never seen one. Based on looks, I think it would work great, but you'd want a short socket. You'd have the possibility of knocking the socket off the fastener.

Those pins make me think it is a spanner for parts like internal hydraulic cylinder nuts. You know how those things thread into the cylinder itself?
I would guess the nuts have two holes about that far apart.

You may be on to something, it does seem like those ears are like a spanner wrench. He worked on hydraulics for sure. He worked on old stuff, new stuff, and anything in between.

It's a gland nut spanner. From what I can tell, it looks specific to CASE equipment.

Here are some pictures of the harmonic balancer bolt removal tool, the dandle is about 20" long and the swivel is 3" centre to centre.

Thanks for the pics Gazza...

This tool is much different, as mentioned, it probably is some sort of spanner wrench for special equipment.

Ok guys, I found the instructions for this tool, thank goodness, it was always in the back of my mind of what it was.

It's called a, Air Hammer Impact Wrench

AH5001

What is this tool used for? The Air Hammer Impact wrench allows access to places that a standard impact wrench would not fit. An example- it can loosen and tighten harmonic balancer bolts easily. which is ordinarily a difficult task. Since the tool is less then 2'' wide, it can fit in many tight places where a impact or other tools won't.

Components; This tool contains the following; Air Hammer Wrench, .401 dia. shank with forked end.

I never found the other piece( fork wrench) in the instructions it shows the forked end, it looks like a specialty fork end. I can send a pic if anyone wants to see.. I'm not familiar with air hammer tools.

He's missing the bit that goes into the air hammer and connects to the lever on the 1/2"square socket adapter. The handle is just to hold everything steady while banging on the bolt/nut with the air hammer.
