A friend said he bought this at his neighborhood Ace Hardware. It was in the bargain bin. Someone there told him it was for electrical connections. Like connecting a wire to the connector.
I can’t figure it out.

Crimps heavy duty wire terminals to heavy gauge wire. You place the wire in there with the terminal and hit it hard with a hammer.

I have one, and I put it in my hydraulic press for making battery cables. A bit more control than hitting with a hammer.
