OK, trying to help a seller whose friend had a contracting company and cabinet shop. The cabinet shop owner is in his 90s now and unable to drive, and may have other limitations as well, so seller is trying to help with sale of leftover equipment. I bought a belt sander and it is missing pieces. He offered the part in the photos, but I cannot see this piece on parts schematic for the Rockwell 31-520 sander which I purchased, and anyway the color on the loose part is wrong. I would like to help ID this part for him, so I can be put with the correct machine.

Also we need to go to the shop and find my missing belt sander table and trunnion for the 31-520 if possible.

So please take a look at the photos and let me know what you think. Last 2 photos are close ups of markings in casting. The part is slightly over 16" long.20250716_184426.jpg20250716_184458.jpg20250716_184029.jpg20250718_104827.jpg

Thanking you all in advance for any help.

I went through several Rockwell and Delta tool catalogs but found nothing like this for the shapers. I will go back and look at router tables. Thanks very much. Will post back if I find anything.

Almost suggested that as a possibility but went with router because of the shape of the opening at the back. I agree though more, more likely a miter saw.
Guaranteed it's for a saw, look at the pic above. The fence is low on one side to give clearance for the motor.
