Another "what is this" question

Hi all, was just browsing some upcoming auctions and came across what I thought was some kind of antique foot actuated floor mount vise.... But then saw it was listed as (2) heavy railroad type jacks. Now I have a few old railroad jacks and they do not look anything like these. Any ideas? they're foot operated vises, mostly used by farriers back in the day.

Those are definitely Farriers or Blacksmiths vises.
