So I found another person on CL selling a vise that provides very little information. My google skills seem to be lacking this morning, since searching for "C vise #6" is a lost cause. Can anyone help with a brand and quality of the following vise and is it worth $100?
Thanks

It looks just like the import vise in that other what is this vise thread. If you need a vise I would wait for an identifiable one with these letters on it USA.

That is what I am trying to find, no one knows what they are selling and I don't want to drive an hour in each direction to find out.

Any vise that looks like that 99% is chicom import. I think there is an orginal English vise that is pattern after, but am not completly sure. Spend a few hours going threw the "show your vise" thread. It doesn't take a lot of knowleadge to figure out what is import and USA. There really is only about 4 import styles of vises and if you can pick those up, you can weed a lot out. Major clue is chromed handle and and swivel lock downs that it is imported. It does get tricky with wiltons knowing what is USA and import as some are basically identical with different COO.

It was part of their "Don't drop this thing on your foot" campaign for new customers. As to the OP and his vise....it sure looks like it came from a Far Eastern country with a big population.
