Another: What is this?

Any idea what this is? i'm guessing it might be part of a machine, rather than a wrench - but not sure.

The hex hole in the center is 1-inch across flats.

Yes! If you have encountered tapered axles, it is about the only puller that works.

Right two are gimlets for screw starting and other small hole needs.

Different shaped screws have different pattern names.

Back over 100 years ago they used those gimlets, still used today surprising enough a set of 7 will set you back $16.95 plus shipping...

First or one of the first tools I learned maybe when I around 7 or 8 years of age from my dad.

Self tapping screws killed them, but a fun tool all the same!

Thanks for the link- I can't believe I've never seen those before. They seem like they'd be very handy for certain projects, especially if you need to start a screw in a narrow recess.
