Good evening

I got a lead on this tool set. The owner could not provide me with any information at this point and I am trying to see if there is any history behind them. They come in a red box with black interior.

For some reason it looks like Walden Worcester set to me.

Do you know anything about this set, sizes and what it was used for?
How much do you think it is worth? (thinking about getting it, cleaning it up and may be keeping it)

Man I was gonna say the ratchet was Wizard. I think those are specific tool kit items for an old Ford. The ratchet piece is worth the most IMHO. I wouldn't got more than $20 on the lot.

Looking for the following Plomb Pebbles Wrenches 3061, 3070,

They may well be Walden. If so, should be marked.
The one to the right of the ratchet could be a 1620, a Ford recommendation.
I don't any other Ford specific, so it could be a simple accumulation, or possibly a set intended for some other make of auto.
Look for markings.

Looking closer, the set seems cobbled together. The wrench to the right of the ratchet is a Chevrolet wrench. The wrench next to the curved handle is a Buick wrench. The extension at the bottom is later and probably added. The set is not complete by at least half. I'd still give $70-80 for it.
70-80?? I leave those at the fleas every time. Got 2 or 3 more drawers like this.....5e8a51aa3cbd4ef3a28574c6249ed19b.jpg

shelbylex: I 3rd it. I think leg17 called it correctly as an "accumulation," not a set. I just looked through about a hundred pages of 1920's Walden ads (compliments of tireless reference gatherer 4.c) as well as the 1923 Walden catalog, and it doesn't match up with any general mechanics' set or a set they designed for a specific car or tractor. If you're familiar with the 20's era Walden catalogs, they list all the tools individually, accompanied by figures, on several pages, then they follow that up with dozens and dozens of pages dedicated to specific car makes, which are just lists, no figures. Some of the tools in the lot can be found in nearly every "set" list (White, Autocar, Studebaker, etc).

Got 2 or 3 more drawers like this.....
Yo, that hand-forged double-ended square-shanked socket wrench in the left hand corner with the black rust-proofing is the third Braunsdorf-Mueller you swore you had that we couldn't find! Pull that out of there right now and put it in the 'Hold for Lugz' box!

Thank you, gentlemen. You are a wealth of knowledge!
Just got the reply from sellers: the family does not know much about them. I might be going to Western Mass at some point and will try to look at them in person if they lower the price (thank you for ideas - they want close to $30)

I'm getting about ten dollars apiece selling mine, although I usually give some with the purchase. I had one guy come up from Tennessee to buy three wrenches. I priced them at $25 for the three since he made the 150 mile trip. I can only give you my experience. I am not a buyer-reseller. I am selling due to health to keep my wife from meeting guys like you!
Lol, touche......I am surprised you're getting that much though. Those are prolific in Walden around here.
