Another What To Use Question

I have a concrete patio/carport floor that I would like to do something with. Right now it has a few small cracks showing up, should I fill those in with a concrete filler? If so what do I use?

Next, I'd like to coat it with something, other than epoxy. I've seen a product at the local home depot for decks, which gives a somewhat rough finish that is also supposed to be somewhat nonslip, exactly what I need is nonslip. Has anyone used any of these products? If so, which would be the better way to go? I'm not too worried about colors at this point, I just want something to seal the concrete. It gets really slippery when it rains.

several of these types of products are not holding up well at all, and several here have used the rustoleum product with very poor results. I doubt the others are a lot better.

Adhesion and dealing with hot/cold cycles seem to be the more troublesome thing to these types of coatings.

Epoxy is the tried and true method, perhaps others will have some better news for your project.

YMMV

Epoxy isn't a good coating to use outside because it's not U.V. stable. An acrylic sealer that has an anti-skid additive applied to it like Shark Grip would work well. Legacy Industrial has their 6525MMA sealer which is a good product.

So, my best option would be to fill in cracks, then just use an acrylic sealer and the anti-skid additive?

Sounds like that roll on or paint on stuff doesn't work. This is why I am wanting to know before I spend $130 or more on this stuff.
