Another What tool is this?

I picked this up in a box of miscellaneous tools. It’s 10” long, 7/16” diameter. Pointed like a center punch on one end and a slotted screwdriver end on the other. Grooves run parallel to the long axis. Lettering appears to say “wossenholmenn” but some of the letters aren’t very clear.

Any idea what it’s used for?

The screwdriver end looks home made on a grinder, it could have been an air chisel bit or a broken ladies foot pry bar maybe.

Looks like a knife steel. The handle is missing.

You know, used to "sharpen" and aline the edges on your kitchen knife before you cut stuff.

Knife steel is probably correct. I was trying to make it out to be something from the shop not the kitchen.
