Actually, a can opener on the other end.

Remember the old tin cans we had to punch open to pour the contents? Like lube oil cans?

Outlaw, is the handle copper on the outside? If so, what is the core?

Since it's brass/bronze (possibly Beryllium ?) and rock/miners hammer, I'd guess something along the line of being used by a demolition guy that sets explosives in mines.

So I guess no one that looked/guessed had seen one "in the flesh" - Not surprising, as I had a hard time finding any reference on the internets! one lonely Eprey listing that I back doored via its Pics. I'll have to watch for this type of thing since the Eprey listing sold for $50!


And... (final Drum roll!)



























the missing bit! the (Hidden) cork screw! (and the ice axe could be used as a bar ice axe as well!)

Edit: there is only one marking on it anywhere; a tiny " Patented - Germany " in a ring on the underside of the adz blade.

I found the corkscrew completely by accident before the cleanup; I twisted on the head since it seemed to have a parting line. Surprise! And the corkscrew was still as seen unlike the other corrosion. so that seal was good! The can opener parting line is not removable, at least by hand. The can openers tip I'd bet is made of an aluminum or beryllium bronze.

Never would have guessed it from the pictures! Hands on might have been a different story. So is it on ebay yet?...
