Look what I got! Picked this up today for $30! I was wondering if I should just get the rust off and spray, or if I can try to "smooth" it out a bit. Also, was there supposed to be a cap at the back and is there anyvway to find a swivel?

Unfortunatly if I were to clean and repaint I would lose the logo on the one side:sad:

Yup, supposed to have a rounded cap at the rear. Some say buy a freeze plug, hammer the center to round it out a bit and grind the edge until it fits. The swivel....hard to find used. I'm in the same position. Looking for a swivel and no end cap.

I have never tried it but have seen it posted on here before that the bottom of a swivel vise is machined different.
