Hey Gents,

I've spent the last day or so searching for a match to my vise. I've learned a lot but still haven't found an exact match. It's a Schiller C1. I can't find any date markings on the bottom slide (maybe worn off) or under the external jaw plate. I have yet to remove the main body jaw plate thanks to a stripped screw head. On the extending jaw body, it's only marked with "8C1". The main body is marked "9-C1". As you can see, the pipe jaws are missing and I'm trying get it fixed up. I've found replacement jaws (not cheap btw) but I can't find the pins for the 2 hole jaws. Are they anything special? Do I just hit up ACE?

Thanks for any help!! BTW, I found this upside down in the dirt at a guy's place I bought a drill press from. He let me have the vise for $60. Seems like a good deal now that I'm looking into these.

You'll spend twice that amount again for new jaws/pins, but you'll end up with a really nice vise. Have fun

Yeah, the jaws aren't cheap but this thing's a beast and I really want some vintage equipment in the shop. Plus, considering a new one is $800, I still have a little wiggle room to make it nice :)
