That was like a $900 box new, and that listing has been up for months I guess the guy enjoys paying the fee's.

I wonder if he also buys those "limited edition" china plates and puts them away until they become collectable...
or maybe thimbles...

Why, that's a bargain at twice the price!
Actually, I'm surprised some Mustang stroke hasn't made him an offer yet.

But like the Dale Earnhardt boxes and memorabilia--I just don't get it.

All he needs is one sale and he has ebay listing fees paid for for life. Someone ought to give him a dummy slap. This world really is buyer beware....

you see that from time to time. i think it's a matter of the seller wanting the abillity to deny or approve offers, he knows it won't sell at the BIN price, but is afraid it will go too cheap at auction. i don't know why he doesn't just set a reserve.

Nah, he's got his phone number in the payment instruction section- he's basically encouraging someone to buy it outside of Ebay.

But it is silly of him to continue to list and relist it, paying those fees each time.

It is a Snap on box. It has the mystical ability to magically infuse the tools with the power to turn piles of rust into a Mustang.

i don't know why he doesn't just set a reserve.

Setting a reserve in an eBay auction is expensive if the reserve isn't met. That listing cost the seller less than a dollar. If he posted it in auction format, with a reserve, it could cost the seller dozens of dollars that he won't get back if the reserve isn't met.

I did a bit of searching and didn't find anything cheaper, but looks like SnapOn made 5000 Mustang 30th boxes including some full size ones.

I learned a long time ago dealing with Porsche owners that there is no point in trying to explain to them that their golden nugget is a turd.

Just like some peolpe think all Mustangs with a 302 is a BOSS 302.

Some people just never get a clue.

I cannot conceive of anyone paying even a 1/3rd of that BIN for that size of a box, limited ed. as it is. And especially now in our current economic state. The kind of sucker he's looking for already lost it all to Madoff.
