Another WTF is this tool thread

I picked up this "tool" yesterday while shopping in my neighbors garage. It was near some other tools common in jewelery making so that what I'm leaning towards but have no idea what's it for

The tool has the numbers 1-10 on it and each "T" will telescope out about 6 inches before separating completely. The markings seem similar to a ring gauge but I know that's not what this is.

Anybody have some ideas?

I have seen many a time Jewelers using the following tool:

Cork borers found in chemistry labs. It was found in labs but now everything is micro miniature or ground glass.

My dad has a set. He used it for cutting cork and rubber gaskets.

Decades ago he worked in a lab for GE plastics.
