As the title states, I'm curious if anyone has ever used this and would comment on it?
A search showed someone from back in 2015, but no followup or posts from the same user since.

I'm in the process of purchasing a new (1998) home that I want to epoxy the floor before I move in.
A buddy of mine works at a Benjamin Moore distributor and has access to a floor grinder so I'm covered on that end.
He quoted me $250 after tax (his cost) on 6 gallons of silver/grey V430 100% epoxy and $120 for two gallons of the V155 primer.

I guess I'm curious as how it stacks up to the other brands that have been mentioned time and time again on here.

Anyone?

Haven't used it, but most 100% solids epoxy will do a great job on a garage floor. The tech sheet doesn't give as much information as other manufacturers. 6 gallons at that price is a great deal. I would recommend a good top coat to finish the job and make the surface more scratch resistant.

One thing that concerns me about putting down a clear, is that it's going to make it slick.
In my last home, I used some epoxy from the big box store with flakes. Honestly, after 11.5 years of pretty heavy use... it still looked good. Sure it had a few spots where it was wearing through in SUPER high heavy areas, but it didn't flake or peel which seems pretty good from what I've been reading about other people's stories.

My plan was to put flakes down again merely for traction.
I know I can add a traction additive in the clear, but it seems like it would stand out like a sore thumb?

I am super interested in options on this matter as it's kind of my last unknown here.

Thanks!

I applied a clear coat on an exterior coated flaked floor used as a dog kennel. The final coat of clear I added anti-slip and when the floor gets wet from rain and hosing down it's not slippery. The combination of flakes and anti-slip do a great job.

What kind of anti slip did you use?
Did it take away from the shine and luster of the epoxy?

The coatings were polyurethane and I didn't notice any reduction in shine by using the anti-slip. The anti-slip was Rust-Oleum brand.

If you're doing flakes you want a clear coat, **** as a polyurethane, on top.
