Antenna connector type

Hey guys, girlfriend got a rotational tv antenna. The cable coming from the antenna to the power box isn't long enough, so I need to get a extension if I can. I'm unsure of the type of connector. I would appreciate it if someone would be able to tell me why type of connector it is and if possible give me a like to one for sale. Thank in advance.

Looks to me like the European/English standard TV antenna connector. Hard to find in the USA, easy most anywhere else.

I'm located in Northern Minnesota. Sorry. I should have gave that information. Antenna was bought off of Amazon.

could be MCX or MMCX jacks, hard to tell. almost looks like a RP-SMB, or RP-BNC but without a lug.

take a look at the connector chart I attached, sorry had to break it apart due to file size limits.

Here is one other option. Leave the existing connector alone, cut the cable in the middle and add a different type of connector in the middle that uses a more common type and a readily available extension cable. It could be RCA, BNC or even a F connector, depending on the type of coax cable you have.

It picks up our tv channels. It's just not able to be permanently mounted yet due to cable length.

This antenna is what we got only ours was a little more. Ordered from the girlfriend's phone. Is it actually possible to splice this wire? I thought it was shielded so I didn't want to cut it.

Aww ok.

All coax is shielded so thats inconsequential.

Yes you can splice coax as long as you have the tools to do so.

Need a stripper(with the correct number of blades) and a crimp or compression tool.

Compression fittings are better than crimp.

I would just send it back. it is obviously not the same one in the picture in the link (which shows standard 75 ohm F connector cable), they may have sent you the wrong one. lots of them on amazon and all show a standard F connector which would allow you to just use a regular longer cable.

Send it back or buy one of the converters mentioned by "The Cobbler" , then you can use any regular F type connector and coax you wanted.... keep in mind that antenna have a build in amp at the antenna and it uses power over coax t o rotate that antenna.... I think it only rotates one way, then hits a reverse switch and reverse rotation. The plugin module is the power supply....

They also sells those converters at the MicroCenter.... maybe something local Ham guys would stock those.

It has a f type cable connector on the power box that goes to the TV. Kinda late to send it back now. We got in in November of 2016.
