Anti-Bee Coating

Hi All,

I'm planning to bend a trim-coil drip cap to protect an exterior outlet which is going to have an outdoor cord plugged into it pretty much 24x365 to keep the battery minders on my tractors working (they currently live under silver tarps). I can't fit the full plastic cover-outlet on my vinyl "block" where the outlet is going to go.

I foresee bees/wasps/hymenoptera nesting under the extended cap and I would like to prevent that. Is there some kind of coating or material I can put under the drip cap which is not conducive to the hanging nests they build?

Thanks for any advice.
