Okay guys, I am about to finish my parents garage floor with epoxy coating from Devoe coatings and since they are elderly I need to make sure its not too slipery for them when wet and I remember someone mentioned using color chips without gloss sealer so the chips will act as non-slip and creates more friction on the floor.
My question is did anyone actually add color chips without sealing it with a clear top coat and how well those color chips perform in terms of non-skid wise?
Will the color chips eventually wear out thus the floor becomes slipery when wet again?
Also, I have seen some places has use epoxy on walkway , exterior steps etc but the coating has something looks like tiny little bumps and very coarse grits like and what are those?
Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated because I can't afford to take any chance in terms of my parents safety concern.
Thank you in advance!
