Ok so this isn't grandpa's. I don't know age.
It's got lathe marks around the circles flanges. It has 2 1/8 inch lines in the middle part of the shank that are on opposite sides. Idk **** about vintage tools.. any idea on age range

It has a marking. Can't find it on alloy artifacts. Looks like an M with a line under it.. It looks like it has C D inside the M. Has a 1 right beside the mark. On the next side it looks like H H.

Any idea on maker. Or age range.. I look for bits but I don't see this one. Kinda see it in early catalogs but they are all spiral?? Would it be older or younger? Why does it have the cross at the end of the shank?1706759133219591479205446147848.jpg17067591839508597723497310889571.jpg

Holy fudge that's it.... spot on.. except without the cross at the end of the shank..

Would that make it older than 1920?
