Antique Champion air compressor

I have an antique Champion Model K two stage air compressor with welded steel tank that I am thinking of parting with. It is operational as I have used it for 50 years. It was an antique when I got it. It's like family but I am downsizing and would like it to go to a good home. I prefer to donate it to a museum where others can enjoy it. Any suggestions?

Maybe Champion would buy it from you for their lobby display at Corporate HQ?

Funny you should mention that. About 20 years ago one of the poppets broke. I called the home office looking for a replacement. A gentleman I talked to said they had a restored model K in the showroom. I asked for a poppet out of it and they politely said no. They did line me up with the engineering department and they gave me advice on how to make a replacement out of a monel aircraft bolt. I did and it is still working perfect today.

It looks cool. If you really want to try getting it into a museum you should try some local ones and then ones that have automotive type displays. It would be a good prop for one that has a mock up garage.
But I'm not sure what sort of demand there is for old compressors There always seems to be the odd one around and with resources museums have if they wanted one they wouldn't have a hard time finding one.
