Antique hex-drive socket set - SOLD

Greetings, GJers,

SOLD to autoclassicnut

Another tool rescue. This antique hex-drive socket set was in the shop of a local architect maybe 75 years when his grandaughter decided to have an estate sale. It is the oldest one I've ever seen.

The set is from the dawn of socket history, thus no manufacturer's name or size markings on them. The complete set of eight sockets are well made and in great shape. Only the very rare screwdriver bit has a nick off the corner.

Yours for $15.00 shipped.

Interesting and thanks for the photos. The Indestros sockets are a short straight cylinder where these in my set are lathe-turned to reduce the diameter on the bottom half. I also notice one set of yours has a cross-hatch and the other has parallel lines.
