Any idea who made this mechanical/power hammer, and approx. what era it was from? Apparently there's no tag or identifier on it. What it might be worth? It's belt driven, no motor on it.

First off that's a big hammer! Guessing at the maker from the pics, I would say Bradley known more for their helve hammers. Bradley did start up a line of verticle hammers around the turn of the century though. They made hammers up through WW2 in sizes from 15# up to 300# in that style. Later models had an electric motor mounted on a stylish cast stand behind the hammer. As to value?? Hard to predict what that could be worth today. Ed.

Looks to be a Bradley 150, 200 or 300# hammer. Side to side bolt spacing will tell you which one by looking here: http://www.newenglandblacksmiths.org/bradley-compact/

Dimensions D and G will tell you for sure.

As to pricing, the last Little Giant I saw for sale went for 5K$, and it was a 25# unit.

New, cast frame Yoder style hammers run about 23k$ plus the cost of dies.

Snag it for under 3k and you can make some money if you want to resell it later.

Little giants have a cult like following. Doesn't mean they are the best. OP, try to get someone local that knows powerhammers to evaluate it. There are tons of smiths up in your area. While it may look complete (minus the motor and pulley) from the dark, off angle, rear shot that you posted; hard to tell what all is going on with it.
