Cheap and easy... Boric Acid and sugar mix. I fought them for years! Kept getting in the kitchen and no matter what I sprayed or put down they kept coming back. Tried the Boric acid/sugar and it got rid of them. Haven't come back in a year!
1 tsp Boric Acid
1 tsp sugar
enough hot water to turn into a slurry.
Put in in a lid or I just made an aluminum foil "tub" and set it near the trail.
1 day later they were all gone. Works like commercail "baits". They take the mix back to the nest and it kills the whole nest.
