This is on a local CL listing. It doesn't look at all like a traditional anvil.

Who made it? What time era is it from?

Here's the kicker: I own the EXACT same style of anvil! I've had it for a few years, and always assumed it was some homemade job. So, obviously that's not the case as there are a number of the exact same things out there. :dunno:

Who manufactured this thing? I never seen any markings on mine, though, assuming it was a homemade job I never really looked it over.

The CL ad doesn't say much "Old 100 lb Colonial style anvil $275" and has the above picture.

Old 100 lb Colonial style anvil

It's not an English colonial anvil. Those were more like a metal block with the horn as a separate piece.

Could it be Spanish or Asian (early) ?
