I have been using this anvil for 20 years since my boss “loaned” it to me. Just decided to ID it. Lots of research has yielded not much. I know more what it is not than anything. No readable markings except the 1 and 9 stamp with possibly a third number for its weight. Any ideas, information or guesses would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Peter Wright maybe? They were sold under different brands, and that generally looks like one

Thanks gentlemen. My best guess has been a PW also but two things hold me back. The base does not have “feet” like a PW and I was assuming PW weights would be marked in the English manner. I may be wrong because I am very new to this. What do you think?

That is NOT a Peter Wright anvil. If it was, the top of the foot would have a flat on it. Your anvil does not have that flat.

Adding a couple more pics and it weighed 189 lbs on my scales. Maybe goes along with the 1 and 9 and the smaller number that looks to be a 3 or 4 for a 190 +/- original weight (?)

I was going to tell you to post it on Iforgeiron but I see you've already done that. (y)
