I just bought an anvil at an estate sale awhile ago. Are there any good anvil websites that I can check out for more info, value etc? I think I paid too much.....

Check out IForgeIron.com. They should be able to give you some good advice about your anvil. Don't bother asking about it here. You will get flamed almost immediately by several obnoxious members who either won't like your question or your photos. Ask me how I know.

You certainly can, primarily if you can't tell the difference between a cast iron and a forged one, and/know why forged is better.
