I saw one at a loacal flea market about a month ago for $75. I wish I would have bought it know. Live and Learn!

Those are farrier's anvils, great for tuning horseshoes, not enough mass for forging.

Anvils are like any other tool, there are the good and the bad, the cheap and quality. You better know what is what before you plunk down serious change for one. And just like plumbers, mechanics, machinists and blacksmith have their own style if vises, anvils are created different for the different work the smith does on it.
