A friend of mine has a Kenmore elite fridge that subbenly stopped getting cold.
My 1st thought was that it's time for a new one since it's got lots of electronic **** and I don't do electronic ****.
It's got got a Feb 06 build sticker on it.
Everything comes on including compressor and fan,but doesn't cool all the sudden.
Anything simple to check?

What's the model #? Kenmore appliances are made by a lot of companies such as Whirlpool, LG, Fridigaire and others...

When we had a slum lord, you tube saved my *** a few times on the drier we had. Worth a look. And make sure to have a round about model because the do differ.

Thermostat go out or the fan that moves the cold (freezer air) up to the fridge quit working ?

A few months ago my fridge stopped cooling, but the freezer still worked. The ducting from the freezer to fridge had frozen up causing almost no cooling airflow. I unplugged the fridge and defrosted the ducting with a hair dryer, been working great ever since. As Mopar said, YouTube is your friend..it sure is mine!

Simple possibility. Dust gets thick under the unit. I have to clean the condenser tubing at least once a year. Not saying that is it, but you asked for a simple check.
