Any body ever installed a levelling kit?

I've got an old 91' ford 2wd and I'd like to put in a levelling kit in it. I know it messes With the camber and I will have to get a separate part to correct that. But as far as installing the part to correct the the camber and getting it apart, what kind of job am I looking at? Will it have to be allined? Thanks for any help, here's the truck, fairly rust free as it lived in Jersey most its life.

I would guess that a "leveling kit" for your truck would just consist of front coil spring spacers. Longer front shocks may be required if going over an inch higher or so. Yes camber will be changed on your TTB front end and will likely need adjustment for good tire wear. These trucks typically need adjustable upper ball joints/sleeves to adjust camber.

Are you just trying to fix some sag? New coil springs are surprisingly inexpensive and very cost effective. Installation for springs or spacers is pretty straightforward. Disconnect components and allow "Traction Beams" to drop down enough to remove and install springs, do one side at a time.

Yep new adjustment sleeves will probably be needed as well as an alignment.

I use a chisel and an air hammer to remove the old sleeves after removing the castle nut on the upper ball joint.

Maybe just lower the back end, instead of raising the front? Could probably be done by simply removing one leaf from the rear spring packs. (one on each side)

I did on my 2006 F-350 4x4 PSD. About an inch lift up front. Spring spacers IRC. Got it off od Ebay, years ago, have no idea who now.

I did have to have it realigned, no big deal.

Cost of the kit was about $100 or so.

You might try replacing the front springs with new ones. That would lift it back to stock hiegth

That's what I'd do, instead of messing with that funky twin I beam front end.

Sandbag in either side of the back bumper, or 4wd front springs.

I put a leveling kit on my '08 F150 and never got an alignment.

I out a leveling kit in my 07 Wrangler took about 5 hours front and back. Spacers on top of the coils it all it was and longer front sway bar end links in the front. Not to hard, I did need an alignment but as is expected.
