Paint and body is the hard stuff, turning wrenches is easy lol. Wish I was decent at body work.
For me its the complete opposite. Paint and body requires patience, and some skill. But its not as technical as mechanics. At least that's how I see it. Body work is like polishing a turd. Given enough time, it can be done.

Dan Long that rig looks amazing. Love that color combination.

My baby resting in her garage spot.20200331_123442.jpg

What year is that beauty>
i'm partial to corvettes. My Wife had a 97 Vette for her driver from 97 to 2007 And we dated in my 62 corvette. I still have it and
I bought a 65 stingray off ebay in Pennsylvania in 2000 and drove it across country back here to So Cal and it is a survivor car with 25,000 miles on the odometer.

That's very sharp C10 SRU. Wife and I had a '72 from '02 thru '07 or so. Was a 1/2 ton with an oringnal 402 w/ the big auto transmission. That thing honked for how big/heavy it was. It was my wife's daily commuter during the dry weather seasons.

Thank you. Mine is a half ton too, 350 with turbo 350. It’s the Cheyenne trim level, all original with 75k miles.

I see the OP is branching off into car car products and that is all well and good but why a product from Germany? Extended lead times to get product if you, as a dealer run out, not buying made in America, and this product isn't in the main stream of show car products.
Well, I bring this up because my wife is a dealer of Croftgate eco friendly water based car care products right here in the good old USA.
From wrap care products, to wash and wax, no "sling" tire shine, and "true" ceramic coat products. The distributor can get you products next day, in 1 to 5 gallon buckets or even pre-bottled....and they are looking for dealers thru out the states.
Croftgate is a recognized show car and detail specialist distributor.
A lot of dealers of the product attend most major local car shows and to those "in the know" it is as good or better than most famous brands.
Made in Germany??? ....hmmmmm.
Not judging, just trying to be informative before you get too deep... wishing you all the best, in your new venture!
Croftgate is all I use. My 15 year old pony with close to 100,000 miles....

I'm a car guy but I'm not a buyer of detail products.

Heck, this car has semi gloss paint applied with a roller!

Actually, it's not completely true that I don't buy detail products. I keep a bottle of quick detail spray in the hauler for quick wipe downs but that's it.

I wash them with sponge and water with a couple of drops of dish detergent in it. I run my daily drivers through the car wash.

Definitely some cool cars in here, as expected.

Mine at the track (quarter mile drag strip) last week:

...and the aftermath after getting the clutch a little too hot on my last pass:

As long as the weather holds, I'll be back at it this Thursday, hopefully without needing to pull the transmission again.

Do 4x4s count?

And my current project, a 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser:

The Cruiser needed some fairly extensive rust remediation, which we're finished with on the frame but have a lot to do on the body. These vehicles have been awesome and have taken me to some really incredible places!

Pro Ceramic job shortly after purchase..
Gotta love those GTRs. Wife and I came close to buying a 2017 in late 2019. Nissan dealership wanted $50K (firm). My bank approved of the car and qualified me at just over $700/mo @ 5 yrs w/10k down (IIRC). We couldn't justify that at our ages (wife was .... and I was in my early '60s). More importantly, we both realized that we lacked the experience of operating such a vehicle. So, I bought my wife a 2020 base 6 spd manual 370z instead (which she loves btw).

I'll also note that the GTR was missing the engine builder's name 'tag' on the engine...

Definitely a car guy. Here's the one I still regret selling. 2018 Chevy SS, aka Holden Commodore. I sold it since I feared I'd wind up losing my license... It was a fun car, but hard to drive in a sane manner. Total sleeper that most people thought was a Chevy Malibu. 5.7 liter LS1 from the Vette, 415hp and 415 torque. Selectable "sport" exhaust that made lovely "crackles" when you opened up all four pipes.

Luckily I bought low during a "20% off msrp" clearance sale when GM broke off their Holden deal, and sold it a year and 20k miles later for about what I paid. I just looked up a few online and damn they're selling for 50k+ used now... I bought and sold mine for $37k.

Yup. A car guy here. As far as detailing the cars, my wife (the car gal) is in charge of that.

Current cars (see signature line).

Time to bump up this thread so I'll add a shot of my 57 chevy to it

I have to say, looking at your build and the finished product, that is one of the most incredible builds I have ever seen. Certainly not a garage, more like a snapshot of a time and place in the late 50’s / early 60’s or a movie set.
